A big thank-you from Tulips
THE Help Those With Cancer Association (Tulips) would like to say thank you to the following:
Firstly a big thank-you to all the friends of Michael Pickworth, whose funeral was held on Tuesday, March 20, at GreenHill Cemetery. Donations in aid of Tulips had been requested in lieu of flowers and an amazing 765TL was collected and donated to Tulips. From about 150 people attended the funeral and up to about 60 people who went back to Ozzie’s Place in Lapta to celebrate Michael’s life. Thank you to everyone who donated.
We would also like to thank Paula Shirley and Liz Charnock for their continuing support of Tulips. They donated 700TL from the sale of goods on the Tulips stall at the Doğanköy Community coffee mornings and also 485TL and 70TL from stall holders, which was raised at the Courtyard from sale of goods on the Tulips stall at the Doğanköy Community Easter Fair on Sunday, April 8. Thanks must also go to Lyn Hilliard and Phil Miles for giving up their time to run the stall.
We would also like to say a huge thank-you to Geraldine and Werner Fayers, who have recently donated 500TL and £100 from events for which they have provided entertainment — lovely people who have in the past supported, and continue to support, Tulips. Thank you so much.
