New member wins golf competition
A NEW member of Yeşilyurt’s CMC Golf Club, Nicky O’Donnell, scooped victory in the annual Tim Fidler trophy competition on Sunday.
Brian Flanigan, of the CMC club, said: “We hold this competition every April in memory of Tim Fidler, who died suddenly in 2013. A CMC member and a man who was liked by everyone who met him, he only took up the game on his retirement to Cyprus.”
Shaun Sullivan came second and Peter Doe was third.
