Italian wins Miss Med

ITALIAN Telma Yadeira was crowned Miss Mediterranean 2018 in a beauty pageant which took place recently at the Merit Royal hotel in Alsancak.

Thirteen women from different countries were judged by a jury made up of Christian Fayyad, Mher Kandoyan, Donnha Borg, Firas Dababneh, Akıl Fakıh, Semire Yılmaz, Nebil Chouman and Daria Syvokon, who all had “a tough time” in deciding the top three, according to Merit Royal.

After the judging, first place was awarded to Ms Yadeira, with judges also singling out Alexandra Garces of Portugal, Kawla Gueye of Tunisia and Moroccan Fatima Zahra Moho.

The gala night included dance shows and a live, twohour performance by Tunisian singer Yousra Mahnoush.
