Michael marks his 60th B-day
LAPTA resident Michael Brookes celebrated his 60th birthday with close friends at the local Calamari restaurant.
More than 80 guests attended the celebration last Tuesday which included a buffet on the seafront deck of the venue, with Andy Reay performing live.
Two birthday cakes and a number of gifts were presented to Mr Brookes, although donations had been requested in lieu of presents, resulting in 1,000TL being raised for the Help Those With Cancer Association (Tulips).
Mr Brookes thanked all of the guests for sharing his special day, saying: “The whole night was absolutely brilliant with all our beloved friends having a wonderful time together. We had great entertainment and delicious food, thanks to the restaurant.
“I thank everyone for all the donations and gifts and was very grateful to finish the night with 40 cards from well-wishers.”
