Some critics took Brit director Simon West to task for revelling in the sado-masochistic aspects of Nelson DeMille’s far-fetched novel. But the public turned out in droves and this flick took a $100 million at the US box office in 1999.
Fine performances from James Woods as a mixed-up army shrink and James Cromwell as a general who put his political future ahead of his daughter’s welfare.
