In 1980, in the badlands of West Texas, hunter Llewelyn Moss, alias Josh Brolin, stumbles across dead bodies and a satchel containing $2 million. A drugs deal ended in a shootout. Moss, a Vietnam vet hangs onto the money. Big mistake!
He is pursued by veteran lawman Ed Tom Bell, alias Tommy Lee Jones, who deplores violence and just wants to retire while still in one piece. More menacingly, the hunter is hunted by dead-eyed Anton Chigurh, alias Bardem, a psychotic assassin hired to recover the missing loot. Using a cattle stun gun, he kills just about everyone who crosses his path, sometimes deciding their fate by the toss of a coin.
