Ms Hessenberg said: “It was a great success, thanks to my Swedish and UK visitors who came over for the show and I have even had to order more prints as they were so popular.”
Bellapais resident Olwyn Patterson and many others bought prints of centenarian olive trees, while Heinrik Schüsterböchler and friends marvelled at the detail of original drawings in Ms Hessenberger’s sketch books which were displayed on the upper floor of the small gallery.
Girne’s deputy mayor Hakan Onurlu cut the ribbon at the 5pm launch, standing in for Nidai Güngördü who was on a visit to Turkey.
