Galatasaray select Sivri

NINETEEN-year-old Turkish Cypriot footballer Ahmet Sivri (right) has been selected for the subs’ bench by Turkish champions Galatasaray.

The decision, taken by team coach Fatih Terim, was announced on the club’s social media site. Sivri, a forward who previously played for Lefkoşa champions Yenicami, joined the Turkish champions on August 10, 2017 under a contract due to expire on June 30, 2020. He scored 103 goals in 100 TRNC league games and while in the Galatasaray U21 team he has netted 14 goals in 17 matches.
