Labour Party TC branch formed

A TURKISH Cypriot Labour Party (TCLP) has been formed in the UK, vowing to be a new “political movement” and within the British opposition.

A written statement from TCLP general secretary Esat Mustafa said that they had held their inaugural general assembly on December 6.

The party’s objective, he said, was “to bring Turkish Cypriots together through social, cultural and political activities and to get representation and create awareness in British politics of the Turkish Cypriots”.
