CMC team beat Ayios Nikolaos on points
PLAYERS from the TRNC’s CMC Golf Club took a threegame advantage into the second, “away” half of a twoleg match-play competition against the Ayios Nikolaos Golf Club (ANGC) in Vrysoules, south of Gazimağusa.
CMC’s Brian Flanigan said: “CMC were carrying a four-and-a-half games to one-and-a-half games lead into the difficult second leg at Ayios.
“The return leg saw ANGC the victors by five games to three, but CMC were overall winners by seven-and-a-half to six-anda-half.”
ANGC captain Brian Finnegan presented the winner’s plate to victorious CMC captain Bob Hodge. Mr Flanigan said the buffet that followed was, “as always, of a very high standard and the team captains thanked all members of both teams for their participation”.
