Leaders on winning run

THE ninth week of the TRNC Volleyball Federation’s leagues sees European University of Lefke as undefeated leaders in the women’s competition after beating Eastern Mediterranean University 3-1. In the round’s other game, Vakıflar, who have yet to win a game, lost 3-2 to Yenierenköy Municipality. In the men’s league, leaders Gazimağusa Municipality beat Çamlıkspor 3-2 following what commentators described as “a very tough game”, while Yenierenköy Municipality beat Near East University 3-0 without conceding a set.
