Artists display talents
ARTISTS find a new venue in 2019 as the Merit Hotel Group embarks on a social responsibility project to support the arts this year through monthly exhibitions which will be open round the clock.
Merit International have also announced their sponsorship of Alsancak Municipality to help raise funds for the construction of a playground and playing field at Büyükler Elementary School. Lapta-based artist Salih Mustafa Çizel is the first to go on show with an exhibition at the Merit Royal Hotel shopping arcade which launched at 4pm yesterday and will run for 15 days.
Mr Çizel recently staged his Transformation show at the Art Arty Gallery in the capital and is well-known for his contemporary abstract art.
Organisers said details of the new 2019 programme were not yet available but a new artist would be chosen each month.
Public relations staff will only be available from 9am to 6pm but visitors may view at any time and will be directed to the show from reception.
