Avengers: Infinity War is Browser’s pick for Monday

CRITICS say this 2018 super heroes blockbuster was the comic book showdown to top all others. It cost $400 million to make and took $2 billion at the box office. Golly!

Marvel Comics’ supervillain Thanos, alias lanternjawed Josh Brolin is collecting the six Infinity Stones he needs for his Pandora bracelet. Oops! If he gets these keys for Space, Time, Power, Reality, Mind and the Soul then the gig’s up for civilisation.

Opposing him is the combined might of the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Dr Strange, Black Panther and more. Flash, bang, wallop from one end of the galaxy to the other. Twists and turns galore and not all the good guys make it back home.

The super heroes are played by the likes of Robert Downey Jr, Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Uncle Tom Cobley and all.

Directed by the brothers Anthony and Joe Russo from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

Empire magazine said: “The film dances nimbly across the cosmos from one group to the next. We couldn’t tear ourselves away now if we wanted to.”
