‘Incredible’ amount raised at craft fayre
AN INCREDIBLE 15,127TL was raised for the Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips) at an arts and craft fayre in Küçük Erenköy last Saturday.
The “fantastic” amount raised at the event at the Joya Bar in Crystal Bay Marina made up for the “hot and tiring day” Tulips spokeswoman Sue Tilt told Cyprus Today.
The fayre was organised by Sue and Neil Taylor, who also sponsored the second prize offered in a raffle, a luxury hamper won by Julie Haskett. There were many stalls put up near the pool at the Joya Bar.
The top raffle prize – a luxury two-night stay for two people, including meals and
massages, at the Aphrodite Beachfront Resort – was won by
Joanna Leigh. The third prize, a meal for two at the Joya Bar, was won by Dilek İnci. The first and third prizes were sponsored by Evergreen Developments.
“Our thanks go to Sue and Neil Taylor for organising the event, also to Evergreen Developments and Ren Brannigan for all their help and donating the amazing first prize which enabled us to raise so much money on the raffle,” Mrs Tilt said.
“Congratulations to the winners and thanks to each and every one of you who purchased a ticket and attended the event.”
Mrs Tilt also thanked the stall holders for their “generous contributions”.
