A “MINIATURE Doors of Cyprus” exhibition in Lefkoşa’s Walled City was officially opened by President Ersin Tatar’s wife recently.
The exhibition was prepared by the Contemporary Folk Dance Association (ÇHDD) under the leadership of Tanju Hastunç.

Turkish Cypriot cultural values”.
Referring to the importance of including Lefkoşa’s Walled City in tourism plans, Mr Hastunç also mentioned the significance of the ÇHDD buildings being located in this area.
Mr Hastunç stated that they had produced 100 artworks measuring 40cm x 60cm, half of which will be donated to the National Education and Culture Ministry to put on display.
Mrs Tatar started her speech by saying that President Tatar, who was in Antalya to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, sent his best wishes.
She congratulated all those who contributed to the project, especially Mr Hastunç. She likened the exhibition to “an openair museum” and called for more museums to be opened in the TRNC.
Mr Amcaoğlu stressed the importance of “keeping culture and art alive and conveying artists’ works to faraway places”.
He said that tourists can “see the present state of the TRNC and the cultural values of its past at museums”.
Mr Hastunç said that the ÇHDD’s next project will focus on “the Ottomans, Cypriot civilisations, folk costumes and military characters”.
