Something like cycling is clearly difficult to turn into gaming entertainment, but Tour De France 2021 certainly puts in its best effort – featuring all 21 official stages, and making it more about strategy than some standard racing games, focusing on things like your ability to communicate with teammates and your energy levels. The graphics are easily the most enticing feature of the game all in all, and a new recovery mechanic during races adds to the realism. The problem is, there’s not enough in there to keep a casual player hooked, making Tour De France 2021 much like the real thing – something best suited to the hardcore fans.

Skip to the end: Fantastic graphical realism and new feature additions, but gameplay follows much of the same in previous Tour De France gaming titles. SCORE: 6/10
