ON WESTMINSTER Priti daft protest

PRITI Sushil Patel is female, no doubt about that (that makes a change these days). She was born in London of Ugandan-Indian parents, is currently UK Home Secretary and architect of the plan to send so-called “asylum seekers” to Rwanda, whilst their applications for political asylum are assessed.

The logic is to save such folk from the evil and exploitative grasp of the people traffickers and deter them from making that dangerous trip across the English Channel.

All perfectly humane, practical and correct? Of course! That is unless you happen to be the “eco-warriors” (pardon?) who recently interrupted Priti’s speech to the Bassetlaw Tories Spring Dinner, abusively calling her plans “racist and inhumane”. What?

So Priti Patel (Ugandan-Indian parentage remember) is racist?

If so, I’m a Yorkshire-hating Yorkshireman. She is “inhumane”? Give me a break! What do these eco-warrior morons think the criminal people traffickers are?

Saintly saviours of the oppressed, with whom their financially and physically abused “customers” are safer crossing the Channel with, in flimsy, overcrowded, rubber dinghies, than they will be in Rwanda?

If only we could ask the many women, children and young men, who ended up floating face down in the English Channel, what they think? Go shout down the real “inhumane” abusers, not Priti Patel, for goodness sake.

In attacking Priti, her accusers need to think a little more about what they are defending rather than what they are against.

That would make a change, now wouldn’t it? If anybody is “inhumane” it’s these protesters. The madhouse strikes again.
