Ministers approve purchase of 100K Covid-19 test kits

THE Council of Ministers has authorised the Health Ministry to procure 100,000 Covid-19 “rapid antigen test kits” at a cost of around 2 million TL including VAT.

The decision, published in the Official Gazette, was taken to “ensure the adequacy and continuity of healthcare services to the public” and to ensure that “community and sector screenings continue uninterrupted”.

The test kits will be procured from USHAŞ, a Turkish state-owned healthcare company headquartered in Ankara.
