Racers ‘playing their karts right’

KARTING season is once again upon us, with the nesdersan.com North Cyprus 2022 ROK Cup Championship having its fourth round of the season at the Cemsa Sporting Centre in the Lefkoşa suburb of Ortaköy.

Rüzgar Okman was the winner of the “Mini” category, beating Rüzgar Miralay into second place, with İsmail Araz placing third.

In the junior category, Niyazi Özçınar won the day, with Hasan Onalt finishing in second place and Demir Göksan finishing in third place.

Halil Kahraman was the hero of the day in the senior category, finishing first and narrowly beating veteran Gazi Yuca, who finished second.

In the “Masters” category, Güner Ballı beat Arkın

Şevketoğlu by the finest of margins to take victory, with Enver Emin Özbeşer finishing in third place.

Following the completion of the races, all participating drivers were presented with their medals and trophies by Tigin Güryel, the chairman of the North Cyprus Karting Associaton.
