Dragsters burn rubber
THE 2022 Güven Insurance North Cyprus Drag Racing Championship has held its latest event, with another drag racing event held in the Akıncılar tunnel underneath the runway of Ercan airport last Saturday. Panagiotis Prodromou had the quickest overall time, taking his Honda Civic Turbo 4x4 up the drag strip in a time of 9.344 seconds.
Stelios Sottou finished in second place, also driving a Honda Civic Turbo 4x4,
with a time of 9.517 seconds.
The fastest reaction time was from Ali Çıdan, who “reacted” to the lights going out in a time of just 0.006 seconds, though this is humanly impossible and means that he jumped the lights.
