‘Fabulous party’ raises more than 12,000TL for Heartbeat
A “PAINT the Town Red” event that included a raffle raised 12,260TL for Heartbeat-North Cyprus Cancer Charity Trust.
The event took place last Saturday evening at the Moonshine Restaurant and Bar in Karaağaç. Heartbeat chairman İsmail Özdil Atahasan said it was a “fantastic turnout and a fabulous party night”.
He gave special thanks to the residents of Sweetwater Bay in Tatlısu for raising 2,500TL, Paula Szabo for 2,100TL and Karin Stone for donating her 1,000TL cash prize.
Mr Atahasan also thanked Justin Ash for his “amazing end-to-end entertainment” and the help he provided for the raffle draw.
Thanks were also given to the “many businesses who donated gifts of their services to the raffle, and every individual who gave raffle gifts plus the charity sponsors Creditwest Bank” as well as the Heartbeat volunteers “who helped make this a successful evening” and the management and staff of Moonshine Restaurant and Bar.
Meanwhile a “side fundraiser” raised 2,500TL that was donated to the Esentepe Street Dog volunteers.
