Expat’s cause of death announced
AN EXPAT who died last Saturday after “suddenly falling ill” had heart disease, police said.
According to a report from the police, Paul David Freeland, 57, was “moving furniture within the site where he resided” in Tatlısu when he “suddenly became unwell and collapsed” at around 10am last Saturday, October 1.
Mr Freeland was taken by ambulance to Gazimağusa State Hospital, but could not be saved despite all the efforts of doctors.
A post-mortem revealed the cause of death as “existing heart disease and a heart attack”. Police added that the investigation into his death continues.
