Toddler seriously hurt in school car park incident

A ONE-and-a-half-year-old child was seriously injured in an accident that occurred in the car park of Dikmen Primary School.

According to information provided by the police, Mukaddes Yenipınar, 37, struck little Seher Karakulle, who was walking with her mother, while driving in the car park at around 1pm on Thursday last week.

The child was seriously injured and taken to Lefkoşa Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, where she received initial treatment and was then placed under observation in the intensive care unit.

Meanwhile Ms Yenipınar was arrested as police launched an investigation into the incident.
