Birdwatching trip postponed

THE Society for the Protection of Birds and Nature (Kuşkor) has postponed next month’s birdwatching trip by a week to Saturday, November 12, due to a Kuşkor Youth Camp taking place the weekend before.

A message from the Kuşkor team said that the trip will cost 50TL for Kuşkor life members, 100TL for annual members and 150TL for non-members.

However, non-Kuşkor members can become members at the event and take advantage of the discount.

Transport will be in the form of a “vehicle share/convoy with vehicle occupants sharing mileage cost of designated drivers” and “VHF communications between vehicles”.

Participants must meet up at the Şah Supermarket in Çatalkoy at 8am and are advised to bring “something to eat and drink (plenty of water), optics, camera etc”, and to “dress appropriately” according to the weather forecast.

The sites to be visited include Geçitköy reservoir, “some coastal stuff along Sadrazamköy” followed by a trip to Kalkanlı.
