Shots fired at Gazimağusa house
POLICE in Gazimağusa have launched a wide-scale investigation after six shots were fired at a house on Piyale Paşa Sokak in Gazimağusa’s Maraş area.
No-one was killed or injured in the incident, which caused “panic” in the area last week.
Police cordoned off the zone to conduct a search of the area and examine CCTV footage to find the suspect or suspects.
The police collected fingerprints and evidence and photographed the damage caused by the bullets that hit the west side of the house.
They found five empty bullet casings on the road in front of the house and determined that five of the bullets hit the awning over the windowed area of the house and one hit the garden wall.
