Russian direct flights?

THE TRNC Public Works and Transport Minister tells us that a Russian company has applied for direct flights and that it will only happen “if the Russian government approves it and there is demand”. Demand? There might be “20,000 Russians in the TRNC” but I would have thought the biggest demand would be from Russians going the opposite way to avoid conscription! My advice? Direct flights are essential, but not to Putin’s hellhole, thank you very much.
