Olive ‘HarFest’ festival takes place tomorrow

THE third “Olive HarFest” festival will take place tomorrow near the village of Akdeniz, in the north-west of the TRNC.

According to a statement by the organisers – olive and olive oil producers Ecolive – festival-goers will have the chance to pick olives during the event, which will take place between 8am and 6pm.

The festival will be held in an area located among “hundreds of olive trees” at the Ecolive site on the outskirts of Akdeniz.

It will feature a series of “cultural, traditional and artistic events and activities” with stalls offering traditional food, drinks and handicrafts.

Leaflets and olive saplings will be available at a stall run by the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry, while paintings by artists Svetlana Kostina and Ekaterina Shenaeva will be on display during the event.
