Poppy Appeal launched
THE Royal British Legion (RBL) Kyrenia Branch launched this year’s Poppy Appeal with a stall at The George sports bar in Girne town centre.
RBL Kyrenia Branch vice chairman Les Evans and British Residents Society chairman Julian Mawdesley attended the launch, which took place on October 20.
On the stall were RBL Kyrenia Branch treasurer Anne Griffiths and Poppy Appeal officer Linda Drury.
Mr Evans said that Poppy Appeal collection boxes can be found at locations across the TRNC with a selection of poppies, pins, wristbands and other items for sale.
