Celebration lands teen in hospital

A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured in an accident on a football field in Gazimağusa.

According to information provided by the police, Ahmet Cangün was celebrating a goal by swinging from the crossbar when the structure toppled over, injuring him.

After receiving initial treatment at Gazimağusa State Hospital, he was then transferred to Lefkoşa Dr Burhan Nalbantoglu State Hospital, where he was placed under observation in the intensive care unit. Later reports said that Cangün was recovering from his injuries. The police investigation into the incident continues.
