Worker dies of injuries

A MAN who was left fighting for his life after his neck was crushed by an automatic van door has died. A police statement said that Rao Adnan Saleem, 30, died in the intensive care unit of Lefkoşa Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital on Monday, 12 days after the work accident happened in Hamitköy.

Two men referred to by the initials “NC”, 33, and “YA”, 35, have been arrested on suspicion of negligence. The investigation into the incident continues.
