Child injured in scaffolding collapse
A CHILD suffered a broken collarbone after a piece of scaffolding fell on her while walking on a pavement in Gazimağusa.
The incident happened at around 12.30pm on Liman Yolu Sokak on November 16 when iron scaffolding being erected on the façade of a boutique hotel came crashing down.
Police said Sofiia Gorbatenko, aged nine, who was said to have been on holiday with her family, was treated at Gazimağusa State Hospital. The falling scaffolding pieces also caused damage to a parked vehicle.
