FLOWER DECORATIONS

- Words & styling: Glotti Press Photos: Maria Vous

We have created beautiful flower installations in the season’s new vases. Flowers are pure art objects when staged in stunning, new and exciting ways. We have taken the photos in one of Copenhagen’s most international galleries, Etage Projects.

MOUTH-BLOWN VASE, Kolonn, designed by Carina Seth Andersson at the glassworks Skruf in Småland, Sweden. The vase has been made for the opening of the National Museum in 2018. Now produced by Sleepo. Table, coffee table and mirror from Etage Projects. OPPOSITE PAGE: The elegant Cado vase is a two-piece vase made of mouth-blown glass. The bottom part of the vase is plum-coloured with a narrow neck, perfect for delicate flower arrangements. The top part is made of clear glass and can be used for stemless flowers or for decorating with plants. Japanese designer, Fumie Shibata, and Holmegaard have created this vase, which references Japanese flower art and is inspired by Danish and Japanese design tradition. Other props are from Etage Projects: Table and tray by Sabine Marcelis, white sculpture by Guillermo Santoma.

GLASS VASE, Mountain Vase, by Fos/thomas Poulsen, Etage Projects. At the centre, a drop-shaped vase designed by Mikkel Yerst/yerst Glas. To the right, Frequency Vase of stainless steel designed by Kelly Wearstler for Georg Jensen. Other props: Table and lamp by Fos/thomas Poulsen and mirror by Sabine Marcelis, everything from Etage Projects. OPPOSITE PAGE: Hurrican Vase No 44 of coloured, mouth-blown glass, designed by Rebecca Uth, Ro Collection. Faceted glass vase from Spektrum. Stool and mirror both by Sabine Marcelis, Etage Projects.

REFLECTION RECTANGULAR is the name of the dark-glass vase in the middle from Danish Specktrum. To the left: drop-shaped vase by Mikkel Yerst/yerst Glas, to the right, vase of Murano glass, Murano Glass Tall Amethyst, designed by Arcade and handmade in Italy for Rue Verte. Table and other props are from Etage Projects. OPPOSITE PAGE: THE GROOVED VASE, Curve, has a collar that renders it perfect for both single stems and bouquets. From Lyngby Porcelaen. The vase on the pillar, Mineral Vase, is designed and mouth-blown by Maj-britt Zelmer Olsen. It contains sand from Balka Beach on Bornholm. Other props: Stool and mirror with pillar from Sabine Marcelis. From Etage Projects.
