Excellent Attendance Expectations in FITUR 2018
The upcoming edition of FITUR 2018, organized by IFEMA and scheduled to take place in Feria de Madrid on January 17-21, is increasingly strengthening its position as an international benchmark event in the travel industry.
With over 90 percent of the space already booked three months before its starting day, FITUR will be putting together the latest world tourism offers, with special emphasis on sustainability and new technologies as keys to the transformation of the smokeless industry.
FITUR 2018 is going to put on the map the actions carried out by countries, companies and institutions to help improve the environment, and it will be displaying the latest technological developments, as well as Big Data management, emerging startups and segmented marketing, within the framework of Fitur Know-How & FiturtechY sections.
The fair is also going to be a space to unveil the achievements of the first 5G digital innovation laboratory in the travel industry and fairs; a project that has been created by means of the collaboration agreement between IFEMA and 5TONIC, an entity founded by TELEFÓNICA and IMDEA Networks Institute, which also has ERICSSON as a member.
The event is set to be the world meeting spot for tourism professionals and become the leading fair for Iberian America's inbound and outbound markets.
Along with the new FITUR Festivals, the event will engulf its usual FITURTECH Y sections, the forum on Sustainability, Innovation, Technology and Business, organized by the Technological Hotel Institute (ITH); Fitur Know-how & Export, organized by SEGITTUR in collaboration with ICEX and FITUR; FITUR Shopping; FITUR Health with Spaincares, and FITUR Gay (LGBT) organized by Diversity Consulting International. The list also includes Investour, Tourism Investment and Business Forum in Africa, jointly organized by the UNWTO, Casa África and FITUR.
