The year 2019 is tee­ming with com­mer­cial cha­llen­ges and ma­jor im­pro­ve­ments for Is­la­zul as the ho­tel chain is keen on rai­sing the category of many of its fa­ci­li­ties with a view to dea­ling with new cha­llen­ges re­la­ted to fo­reign in­vest­ment.

Is­la­zul has 117 pro­per­ties bro­ken down in ho­tels, mo­tels, hos­tels, vi­llas and apart­ho­tels, plus 887 hou­ses in four key des­ti­na­tions: La Ha­ba­na del Es­te, Va­ra­de­ro, Ca­yos Co­co and Gui­ller­mo, and San­ta Lucía beach, in Ca­ma­güey.

The ho­tel com­pany, pre­sent in the is­land na­tion's he­ri­ta­ge ci­ties, as well as in sun-and­beach des­ti­na­tions, boasts ho­tels of two, th­ree

and four stars, fea­tu­ring both me­dium and small ca­pa­city, and ran­ging from 40 to 300 rooms each. It cu­rrently has 9,073 rooms, coupled with new builds that al­ready pro­vi­de ser­vi­ces in the pro­vin­cial ca­pi­tals of the country.

With the celebratio­ns for the 500th anniversar­y of Ha­va­na, the grand ope­ning of Ve­da­do Azul, a small ho­tel of great com­fort that joins the re­cently ope­ned San Juan, in Ma­tan­zas, Flo­rea­le, in Vi­lla Cla­ra, and El De­por­ti­vo in San­tia­go de Cu­ba, took pla­ce

Run un­der a joint ma­na­ge­ment con­tract with Spa­nish ho­tel chain Me­liá, Is­la­zul is open to fo­reign in­vest­ment. In the na­tu­re tou­rism ni­che, it has joi­ned the Co­mer­cia­li­za­do­ra de Ser­vi­cios Mé­di­cos de Cu­ba in an ef­fort to pro­vi­de ac­com­mo­da­tions near me­di­ci­nal wa­ter reha­bi­li­ta­tion cen­ters and in a bid to develop joint projects in fa­vor of health tou­rism.
