Where Excellence Shakes Your Hand
HOTELES HOLGUIN COMPLEX, RUN BY CUBANACAN HOTEL GROUP, OWNS TWO HOTEL FACILITIES AND FOUR OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS, WHICH EXCEL BY THEIR ELEGANCE AND COMFORT
To better understand the culture, tradition, and adventure that come with urban tourism, it is ideal to look for accommodations in the facilities of the Hoteles Holguin Complex where history, elegance, and comfort have become a hallmark.
That hotel chain, run by Cubanacan Hotel Group, owns two hotel facilities and four other accommodations, all of them located within the city's Historical Center —for instance, the route to Gibara, venue of the International Film Festival.
The quality of service and workers' professionalism define the Complex agenda. Hotel Caballeriza, located few blocks away from the Julio Grave de Peralta Park, and Hotel Esmeralda, in front of the Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Park are both signs of it.
The first of them has 21 rooms suited to enjoy a calm rest, a VIP lounge, lobby bar and restaurant, back office and a cooking where traditional recipes of the region —in harmony with new culinary trends, though— are prepared.
On the other hand, Hotel Esmeralda's decoration pays tribute to seamstresses,
models of a very ancient, but important trade for society. Hence, old Singer sewing machines, paintings of dressmakers from different times, cones, threads and pins, recreate a pleasant environment in all of its five rooms, inner courtyard, galleries, and reception. Visitors may be part of the daily life and traditions of people born in Holguin.
ON THE ROUTES TO GIBARA
On the route to the mystical coastal city of Gibara, the town with greatest involvement in the film industry in Cuba, Parador San Marcos —nestled in the Floro Perez neighborhood—; Cafeteria El Barrilito —in Velasco; Parador La Enramada— at the entrance of Gibara; and Ocio Club, near Calixto Garcia central park, are all available.
Parador San Marcos offers a varied menu of light meals and its flagship offers are the tap draft beer and the Aura sausage, traditional sausage of the region. In Parador La Enramada, the wonderful landscape of the Gibara seafront results in a great view to those consuming tapas “adorned” by some cold beers.
Gibara Ocio Club is designed for the entertainment of the whole family. A dozen modern game equipment for children and adults are set. The Cafeteria El Barrilito makes a show of its magnificent services in both its gastronomy and its constant care for workers.
