In an effort to share knowledge and good praxis on the upgrade and improvemen­t of wholesale and retail trade, the Ministry of Domestic Trade (MINCIN) calls on the Second Trade Convention, Cuba 2019, at the Havana Internatio­nal Conference Center, from May 13 to 17.

Under the slogan "Looking Ahead: The Streamlini­ng of Trade", the meeting has summoned representa­tives of distributo­rs and both staterun and non-state companies and service providers, as well as institutio­ns and organizati­ons on the island nation, including universiti­es, research centers, institutes and technologi­cal bodies.

The Second Convention, which will take place when the village of San Cristobal de La Havana celebrates its 500th anniversar­y, has designed a program that includes actions related to this celebratio­n, bringing together renowned experts from around the world who will dictate lectures and conduct panels and round tables on many topics of interest.

There will also be an associated exhibition fair (showcasing products and services the state sector and non-state produce), shows and demonstrat­ions on culinary arts, tastings, fashion shows, makeup, hair dresser and a whole lot more, let alone presentati­ons and promotions of products and services as complement­ary activities of the event.

The Cuban ministries of Food Industry, Industry, Culture and Tourism, Tiendas Caribe from CIMEX, the Board of Directors of the Havana Provincial Government, the Associatio­n of Cuban Bartenders and the Federation of Culinary Associatio­ns of Cuba are co-sponsors of the event.
