HACIENDA SAN AGUSTÍN DE CALLO
San Agustín de Callo fue construida en un antiguo palacio inca y es uno de los dos sitios arqueológicos más importantes incas en Ecuador. También fue el hogar temporal de la Misión Geodésica Francesa y hospedó viajeros como: Alexander Von Humboldt, Edward Whymper y otros. San Agustín de Callo constituye un museo viviente donde albergan conjuntamente el Imperial Inca, y el estilo colonial español. En la actualidad es de propiedad de la nieta del General Leonidas Plaza Gutiérrez, la Sra. Mignon Plaza.
San Agustín de Callo, built on the site of an Inca palace, and one of the two most important archaeological Inca sites in Ecuador, offers an unrivalled glimpse into Ecuador’s rich and colorful past. It was also the temporary home of the French Geodesic Mission, and was visited by illustrious travelers such as Alexander Von Humboldt, Edward Whymper, and others. The Hacienda iscurrently owned by the General’s Leonidas Plaza Gutiérrez granddaughter, Mrs. Mignon Plaza.
