Se le llama shunsho al bobo, mushpa al ingenuo, curuchupa al conservador, filático al rebuscado, changa al muslo, chompa al abrigo, fresco a lo fácil, de ley a lo seguro, abombe a lo aburrido; la bola es mucho, la mucha es beso, se acolita cuando se ayuda, se ve cuando se recoge, se cacha cuando se entiende, el que hace un favor da llevando, da trayendo, da viendo o da haciendo, el que se chuma se emborracha y el que se va a volver, ya regresa. / They call dummies ‘mushpas’, idiots ‘shunshos’, conservatives ‘curuchupas’, thighs ‘changas’, coats ‘chompas’, blankets ‘colchas’, what’s easy is fresh (fresco), a ‘mucha’ is a kiss on the lips, but for ‘mucho’ (lots) they say labola (the ball); to pick you up Quiteños see (ver), they catch (cachar) when they understand, they go to come back (vanavolver) when they’ll be back soon, and for favors they use the verb ‘to give’ (dar) before the gerund: ‘dallevando’… They have an unhealthy affection/affliction for the future tense – vis. ‘verás – further conflating the future and the gerund, as in ‘darásmeviendo’ (for advanced Quiteño speakers only).

On paper, it was officially founded on August 28 by Diego de Almagro.
