Make a quick pit stop at JOE’S BEER HOUSE

Land Rover AFRICA Magazine - - FRONT PAGE -

The road to Africa can be long and winding and travellers can get really thirsty and hungry. Finding a good watering hole ( in between the hordes of home traders and shebeens), is like an oasis for the adventure enthusiast. Joe’s Beerhouse, an iconic pub and restaurant, is a legendary stopover for African overlanders, where one can indulge in roasted boar knuckles, seasoned springbok steak, crocodile on a hotplate, a marinated kudu steak or zebra tenderloin – all the animals you’re bound to see while on safari in Namibia. Joe’s is also a veritable ‘ Raiders of the Lost Ark’ treasure trove of relics and African memorabilia collected by its founder Joachim Gross – each artefact steeped in his adventures.
