THAI MASSAMAN CURRY
Amarula is a firm favourite around many a campfire. The creamy, rich liqueur has often been the drink of choice while sitting in the remote part of the African bush listening to a lion roaring or a hippo grunting. Made from the fruit of the Marula tree, elephants are known to have a soft spot for the fruit. Because of this, the distiller used an elephant in its label and supports elephant conservation. Our editors recently visited Camp Jabulani in Limpopo for an all-encompassing Amarula experience. Massaman is a southern Thai dish, influenced by Malay and Indian cuisine.
