Soma Bay becomes first model in integrating tourism development with real estate: El Missiri
Ibrahim El Missiri, CEO of Abu Soma Development Company (ASDC), said that his company is developing its Soma Bay project in El Gouna on an area of 10m sqm, which is still a tourist destination of the first class, with a special tourist occupancy rate for all segments of tourists, noting that the project includes five different hotels and 14,000 rooms.
El Missiri added that the Soma Bay project is the first model to mix the development of real estate with tourism, which maintains a high rate of growth in terms of the occupancy rate of the project, where the project continues to take the lead in attracting tourists to the Red Sea.
He pointed out that there are some countries that have a huge fleet of airlines, hotels, and online tourism companies, which makes them able to attract tourism from entire regions and countries, adding that the Egyptian market is still studying its ability to expand and connect hotels to specific airlines, which is an obstacle that can be faced by charter flights.
Furthermore, El Missiri explained that clients have become aware of what to expect in specific countries in terms of quality of hotels and distinctive flight services. Consequently, they choose the service and hotel they want, whatever the prices are with other providers. He stressed that the hotel brands are the determinant of the quality of service offered to clients.
