‘Let’s create local billionair­es using RDF’

INCOMING Minister of Tinkhundla Administra­tion and Regional Developmen­t Sikhumbuzo Dlamini has called for the grooming of local billionair­es using the Regional Developmen­t Fund (RDF).

Dlamini said this could be achieved by mainstream­ing the funds soon after he was appointed into the new Cabinet by Prime Minister Russell Dlamini on Monday.

Dlamini replaced Sigwe Member of Parliament David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphala­la in the last term.

He further extended gratitude to His Majesty King Mswati III for the appointmen­t and promised to serve the country diligently. “We need to empower local businesspe­ople using these funds so that they create jobs for emaSwati. The fund should be made available for every local businesspe­rson. We further need to empower Small Medium Enterprise­s using the funds so that every local can be empowered in his/ her business endeavor,” he said.

Dlamini further promised to decentrali­se government services using the various Tinkhundla centres.

Travelling

“We need to ensure that every liSwati accesses all services within the Tinkhundla centres instead of travelling to nearest towns, which is in line with the King’s dream of attaining the First World world status,”. Who is Minister Sikhumbuzo Dlamini Sikhumbuzo Dlamini is a 43- 43-year-old resident of Nkwene in the Shiselweni Region.

He completed his education at Salem High School.

He is a former police officer and spent 11 years in the service between the years 2002 and 2013.

He is in his second stint as a Member of Parliament, having first served as an MP between 2013-2018.

He has also served as an executive member of the Eswatini Football Associatio­n (EFA). He also served in MTN Premier League side Nsingizini Hotspurs’ technical and board structures. He is also the current chairman of Swaziland Commercial Amadoda Hlatikulu Branch.
