Phuzumoya Oil Reserve completion is Prince Lonkhokhel­a’s priority

THE Minister of Natural Resources and Energy Prince Lonkhokhel­a says in his term of office, he will prioritize the completion of the Phuzumoya Oil Reserve and ensure that the goal of local generation of electricit­y is achieved.

The minister said he would ensure that as the ministry achieves the oil reserve at Phuzumoya it would also come with the stabilizat­ion of all oil prices for the smooth running of the economy.

He said he would also ensure that oil suppliers build their small reserves in the country.

He stated that he would also make sure that the goal of local generation of electricit­y is achieved so that it is made available to more emaSwati in the urban and rural areas at optimal and affordable rates which would in turn attract large new industries into the country.

The minister added that as a ministry they would ensure to attract all kinds of renewable power generation in the land and ensure that they play their role in

“As a ministry, we also need to ensure that there is protection of the ozone layer, soil, and natural forests. We will also ensure that we harmonize and make the energy regulatory body as friendly as possible,” he said.

Furthermor­e, he said the ministry would ensure that the nation had access to clean healthy water by building more dams all over the country.

“We shall achieve it all according to the National plans that may be revised from time to time which are all in line with the wishes of their Majesties and the Nation,” he said.

He concluded by stating that it was also their goal to harmonize and create beneficiat­ion in this sector by ensuring that taxes and royalties were paid accordingl­y and that Corp work culture was instilled by keeping their number one asset, the personnel, protected.
