. . . ‘Siziba’ has become a master of the game

-

INAUGURAL MulaSport Pool Singles Knockout Tournament champion Sibusiso Nhlabatsi has showered praise on his runner-up Zweli ‘Siziba’ Dlamini.

This is after the much-decorated senior men’s pool national team stars clashed in the final of the tournament on Sunday afternoon at Billiards and Games Arena.

“I groomed Siziba and taught him a lot about the game. He’s grown to become a master of the game himself he has beaten before, but this time I got the better of him,” Nhlabatsi said in a post-match comment.

He also made it clear that while Dlamini may have gone through the toughest rivals before him in the final, not one match was easy for him, too.

“I found all my games from the onset very draining due to the fact where I’m stationed at work, I don’t get to practice like the players around Mbabane and Manzini as there is no nearby access to a pool table,” the champion explained.

He said it was always about him arriving an hour or two early for the tournament so he could get a few practice games before the competition, and it worked for him. Nhlabatsi congratulated Dlamini for a great game, saying it showed that they were not just any player but some of the finest there can be in Eswatini.

There was no immediate comment from Siziba, unfortunately. After this tournament, the Game Den ‘Dog Eats Dog’ Pool Tournament is next on June 1, 2024.
