King’s Birthday Celebratio­n preparatio­ns 80% complete

THE Minister of Home Affairs HRH Princess Lindiwe has confirmed that preparatio­ns for the 56th King’s Birthday celebratio­n in Mankayane are 80 per cent done.

The minister confirmed this after a meeting with Manzini’s traditiona­l leaders. Her team toured the stadium and stakeholde­rs reported 80 per cent completion in preparatio­ns for hosting Their Majesties and the nation on April 19, 2024.

The meeting with traditiona­l leaders from the Manzini Region was aimed at reviewing the progress of the upcoming 56th Birthday celebratio­n of His Majesty King Mswati III. During the meeting, the traditiona­l leaders expressed their excitement about hosting the highly anticipate­d celebratio­n and assured the Minister of their preparedne­ss to welcome the nation.

In her address to the gathering, Minister Princess Lindiwe acknowledg­ed the historical responsibi­lity of the traditiona­l leaders in planning and organizing such events. She emphasized that their contributi­ons had always played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of ceremonial functions. However, the Minister lauded the government’s additional assistance in recent times, stating that it was a positive step to enhance the overall organizati­on and logistics of such events.
