Lidwala Medical Aid signs agreement with one of SA’S largest healthcare administra­tors, Universal No-claims Low Claims Bonus payment next month Improved systems and now paying weekly claims

THE future of health care, Lidwala Medical Aid is set to continue its mantra of delivering value for Emaswati after striking a mega deal with one of South Africa’s largest healthcare administra­tors, Universal Care.

The ground-breaking deal will see

Lidwala Medical Aid join the administra­tion of one of the largest individual­ly contracted healthcare provider networks in South Africa with over 10,000 participat­ing providers.

Lidwala Health General Manager, Ntokozo Ndzabukelw­ako confirmed to the Eswatini Sunday of the mega deal between the two entities which will be beneficial to their patients.

“Well, basically, we are going to be part of the administra­tion with Universal health care which is the third largest in South Africa and we are looking forward to provide the best for our patients,” Ndzabukelw­ako said.

Ndzabukelw­ako also highlighte­d good news for Lidwala Health customers as the No-claim bonus will be paid from next month – May.

“If you are with Lidwala, look out for immediate pay on the No-claims Low Claims Bonus and unlike other insurances, with us you don’t even need to apply. We pay the No-claim Bonus in May every year,” he said. Ndzabukelw­ako said they had improved their systems which has seen the company even paying weekly claims seamlessly.

“Late last year we changed the system in October, it came with a lot of challenges which caused some delayed claim payment but we have managed to achieve a 90 per cent success now as we can pay claims every week,” he said.
