G Mamba loan ‘Msholozi’ to Black Swallows for E10 000
- In a surprising move, MTN League pace-setters, Green Mamba FC have released strong defender Siyabonga ‘Msholozi’ Mdluli to First Division rookies Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows. A reliable source confirmed the move yesterday. He said the player would be with Black Swallows for the next six months, and they expect him to be back with the team for pre-season. “It is true that we have decided to offer ‘Msholozi’ to Black Swallows. We hope that his move will benefit both parties, especially because Swallows are challenging for promotion to the Premier League,” he said. The source added that their main aim was for the player to regain full fitness, so that he can come back and help the team next season. Black Swallows’ Chairman, Charles Matsebula confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Green Mamba to sign the player for the remainder of the season. “We are very happy to get a player of ‘Msholozi’s calibre.
He will help us a lot in our quest to win promotion. Everybody knows how good a player he is. We have no doubt that our youngsters will benefit a lot by interacting with him given his experience,” he said.
The defender has been out of action for some time due to injury, and because he is still recovering, he will not be immediately available for Swallows. Matsebula said the team’s fans can expect the player to appear for the team in the next two weeks.
Green Mamba’s Chief Executive Officer, Thami Phakathi could only confirm that they have released five players to get game time with other teams. He said he cannot speak on behalf of those teams, and confirmed that ‘Msholozi’ is one of the players released.
“All these players have been sent out on loan. They will be back with the team in time for the start of the new season,” he said. The other four players, according to Phakathi, are Sawa Ginindza, Muhle Shiba, Phinda Ginindza, and Muntu Mamba. Meanwhile, an impeccable source revealed that the move will cost Black Swallows a sum of E10 000.
