Zim star training with ‘Bull’
– Capital city giants Mbabane Highlanders are on the verge of signing top Zimbabwean striker Raphael Munukire in the current transfer window.
The former Dynamos player is currently training with the ‘Black Bull’ alongside former Tambuti FC’s Congolese striker Fabrice Mopina. The two players started training with the crowd pulling side earlier this week and are both looking to impress Zimbabwean mentor Saul Chaminuka. A source close to the matter asserted that the two players will know their fate this
weekend after a pending meeting between the technical bench and management committee. “The two players are currently trying their luck with the team and their fate will be known once the technical bench submits their report to the MC. The team is likely to offload some of the current players in order to accommodate the new players,” the source said. Highlanders PRO Paul ‘Magidza’ Masilela said he was yet to be briefed about the matter yesterday. Manukire has appeared in three COSAFA Cup tournaments for Zimbabwe. Highlanders have also welcomed their left back Vukile Khumalo from a loan stint at Matsapha United.
