Mom presents daugh­ter with E1 500 as a gift

Par­ents usu­ally buy gifts to present their chil­dren when­ever they have done well in their stud­ies, par­tic­u­lar­lyin ex­ter­nal ex­am­i­na­tions.

How­ever, a par­ent of a Ngwane Prac­tis­ing Pri­mary pupil said she will give her daugh­ter E1 500 as a present for ex­celling in the Stan­dard Five ex­ams.

Si­bonginkosi Celu­musa Sha­bane (12) will pocket the money as a gift from her mother, Ce­bisile Sha­bane. The ex­cited mother said when she learned that her daugh­ter was one of the top pupils she had no other thing in mind as a gift ex­cept to present her with a sum of E1 500.

“I have not con­sid­ered any other thing for now ex­cept pre­sent­ing her with E1 500 to spoil her­self on any­thing she wants.

“I am proud of her and the joy she has brought to the fam­ily for be­ing one of the top pupils in the coun­try is un­be­liev­able,” said Sha­bane (mother) when in­ter­viewed tele­phon­i­cally, shortly af­ter the re­lease of the re­sults on Thurs­day.
