Open letter to new PM of Eswatini
Sir,
First and foremost, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the recently appointed prime minister ( PM) of the Kingdom of Eswatini and wish him success as he works with Parliament to move the kingdom to greater heights. I would like to also urge him to tighten the screws on all forms of corruption, whether in the private sector or in government.
Implore
I would also like to implore him to prioritise the healthcare sector in our beloved country and to also request that as they plan on capital projects t h e y a l s o l o o k a t mass i v e c a p i t a l projects, f or t he construction of at least two massive referral government hospitals in Eswatini.
I wrote this letter with reference to the recent insurrection attempts that we witnessed in the past recent days as a country where our people were taken advantage of by the instigators of such pandemonium to move around terrorising, looting and burning property belonging to both citizens and the State. Many emaSwati have lost livelihoods, businesses, vehicles and much more due to these attacks.
I believe there is one or two things that we can borrow from our neighbours i n South Africa, i n t erms of how they are attending to the same situation we are facing.
Arrest
We have seen and are still seeing their law enforcement agencies working very hard to arrest all proponents suspected of being the instigators of this economic destruction attempts. We have seen and are seeing t hem moving swiftly to ensure that all the instigators are put behind bars for a very long time.
The r equest I have f or you, your excellency, is that you also commence the action of cleaning up our country of t hese i nstigators. We have seen t hem spreading fake news, sharing voice notes as well as holding press briefings on social media inciting our fellow emaSwati.
